All parents know how important it is to spend quality time with their kids. But in reality, how many of us really do it? Usually you have to do so many different things that it‘s more like spending time around them. From time to time at practice or at a birthday party you hear from some mom that she does this and that with her children. I used to wonder: do they really enjoy it and how do they find the time.
But it’s not that difficult in the end. Try to find at least 15-20 min a day; even with your busy schedule, it’s totally manageable. And do something meaningful with your child. I can assure you you’ll be so happy to see what your kid could achieve with a little help from you.
The easiest thing is to just read a book before bed time. You can also do some arts and crafts, or play a few fun games. But always remember not to push hard for something that may seem fun for you but not for your kid. Anyway all children are different: some enjoy quiet table games or art activities while some prefer running around the back yard catching a Frisbee.
