| Gymnastics Preschool programs in gymnastics enhance children’s motor skills and teach them balance, coordination, flexibility, strength and some gymnastics skills. Gymnastics is a great sport. But it’s definitely not easy for toddlers. Entry-level gymnastics programs for the developing gymnast usually enroll children starting at age 6. Gymnastics at the age of 2-4 is mostly made up of jumping and tumbling, which can also be accomplished during a trip to a playground or a park. However, playing at the outdoor playground is not always the best option during the hot Tucson summers. That is when a gym class can be a great alternative. Plus, most gyms offer such programs as “Open Gym” and “Parents’ Night Out”. During “Open Gym” hours kids with parents may come to a gym for a fun playtime together for a small fee. |
